Meet Mary Rob Swayze

An experienced endurance athlete and orthopedic specialist, Dr. Mary Rob Swayze coaches athletes to safely reach their racing goals. She is able to assist athletes in preventing or managing the dreaded injuries that are far too common amongst triathletes. She is a Level 1 USA Triathlon certified coach and enjoys coaching and traveling for the sport.

A current resident of Longmont, Colorado, Dr. Mary Rob Swayze grew up in central Mississippi. She competed in many sports, but she excelled at soccer—her first love. Mary started playing at a very young age and continued playing seriously in club leagues and varsity teams until she finished her soccer career playing for the University of Mississippi’s NCAA Division 1 Ole Miss Rebels.

After retiring from soccer, Mary started competing in endurance sports, beginning with a sprint triathlon on the Ole Miss campus during her senior year. She has been hooked on triathlons ever since.

In the years since, Mary has competed in all distances of triathlons but has enjoyed long course Ironman triathlons the most. She has finished seven long distance triathlons including the Ironman World Championships in 2018 and 2022.

Mary believes that her experience and long term journey from finishing an Ironman to competing on the world’s stage has assisted her in creating realistic, progressive, and successful training plans for her athletes who are ready to take on the challenge of a long course triathlon.
